2009 Freedericsz Medal Awarded to Professor Yu M. Yevdokimov
The 2009 Freedericsz Medal of the Russian Liquid Crystal Society was awarded to Professor Yu M. Yevdokimov from the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology of the Russian Academy of Science in Moscow. The Freedericksz medal is awarded for outstanding contributions to the physics, chemistry or applications of liquid crystals, and has been awarded on an annual basis since 1997. Two awards are normally given, one to a scientist from Russia, and the other to an international scientist. Our congratulations to Prof. Yevdokimov. His work will be covered in a future issue of Liquid Crystals Today.
Date: October 2009
