Changes to the Board of the International Liquid Crystal Society

As is usual, the Board of the International Liquid Crystal Society met at the International Conference, which was held this July in Edinburgh. The Executive Committee now comprises: J. W. Goodby (President), P. Palffy-Muhoray (Vice-President), E. C. Gartland (Treasurer), M. Copic (Secretary), Ranganathan Shashidhar (Membership Secretary).

Several changes were also made to the Board membership that includes National Society Representatives and Regional Representatives, listed as follows:

Y. Reznikov (replaces V. Reshetnyak)
T. Uchida (replaces H. Takezoe)
K. Fodor-Csorba (replaces N. Eber)
Burnell (replaces J. Bechhoefer)
Evangelista (replaces A. Figueiredo-Neto)
Bauman (replaces S. Urban)
Thoen (replaces S. Picken)
J. Maclennan (replaces N. Clark)
P. Rudquist (replaces S. Lagerwall)
P. Keller (replaces P. Barois)
T. Ikeda (replaces Naemura)

A replacement will also be announced for the representative of the Italian Liquid Crystal Society, G. Abbate.
