Ivan Smalyukh was the recipient of the Society''s 2002 Multimedia Prize for his stimulating web tutorial with interactive graphics on the uses of fluorescent confocal polarising microscopy for 3D imaging of a liquid crystal director field. This can be viewed on the web through the link below.
